Holy Moleeeeee That is Some Power

With the last couple Wednesdays and a Sunday talking about Acts 2 & 3 the youth group and I have seen many awesome things.  The Holy Spirit came upon those waiting, Peter went out and preached a sermon which everyone heard regardless of language spoken, many people became followers of Jesus, and the lame man was healed.  I keep looking back at this scripture and find it crazy that all of this is done.  There is no way that a person, as a believer, can look back and not have a different outlook on the future.  We see the ultimate power of God displayed in these events and it makes me wonder, “How many people skip over the importance of this scripture?”

What if we stopped going through these stories as if they were children’s bedtime readings?  What if we paid attention to the mere fact that everyone whom trusts in the Lord and has faith in Him gains access to the Holy Spirit?  We can go about arguing over certain theological standpoints but we can’t argue the fact that believers have the Holy Spirit.  With what happens in scripture we can see that believers now have the power to live life understanding the Lord better.  We can see how sin is hideous to God and be convicted.  In our walk with the Lord we will be able to share the gospel without hesitation because the Spirit guides us.  We see how to walk/talk with another person whenever they are an unbeliever trying to make mockery of our God.  We see weird instances where we can’t explain things but know God has completely taken care of conversations, actions, or outcomes of those 2.  So my question is, why live a dull lifestyle if we know these things?   John 10:9 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.  We should be kickin it Jesus style, in tune with Him because of the Holy Spirit, constantly finding joy in the fact that Jesus saves, we are given life in the fullest through the Holy Spirit, and eternity can be spent praising our King.  So let’s live!
